Steam Dump Isolation Valve Control System

EDF Energy – Dungeness B

AMS evaluated the proposed EDF concept design and expanded the concept whilst working closely with the site engineers to ensure the system was fit for purpose and compatible with existing infrastructure.

EMI/ RFI Resilience – Survey & Recommendations

EDF Energy – Several Sites

AMS will undertake detailed site walk downs of the required stations and produce optioneering reports providing recommendations for the individual panel modifications.

Control System Upgrade

St Cuthbert’s Mill

AMS implemented the modifications to the control system and commissioned on site to the client’s satisfaction.

Nitrogen Plant Interface Cubicles

EDF Energy – Dungeness B

AMS’ scope was to utilise the existing controls and indications within the CCR whilst providing an interface which allows the controls and indication to operate with either the old or new plant

IFD Control Room Pneumatic Panel

EDF Energy – Hinkley Point B

AMS undertook a site survey and produced a detailed P&ID of the existing system before completing the detailed design, build, installation and commissioning activities.

SRVI & ABDS Logic Cubicles

EDF Energy – Dungeness B

The Automatic Boiler Depressurisation System (ABDS) and Reactor Safety Relief Valve Isolation (SRVI) System were two of the three modifications being prioritised for immediate implementation at DNB.

Solenoid Panels

EDF Energy – Dungeness B

The second phase of a 3-phase project saw AMS engineer a solution and subsequently deliver a series of solenoid valve control panels.

C&I Overlay System

Following the final shutdown and defuelling of Hinkley Point ‘A’, AMS delivered a new and separate C&I ‘overlay’ system to meet the plants monitoring and communication needs for the next phase of decommissioning.

PA System Replacement

The Public Address (PA) system at Hinkley Point ‘A’ was suffering the effects of ageing and obsolescence. AMS were contracted to conduct an optioneering study and to ultimately implement a replacement system.

Instrument Cubicles

As part of a boiler lifetime modification program, AMS were engaged by the client to design, substantiate, build, test and deliver a suite of instrument cubicles to support a risk reduction initiative to meet the station’s Safety Case.
