AMS Nuclear delivered nuclear-grade gas measurement and effluent monitoring systems for Hinkley Point C. Six measuring gas cabinets, flow proportional samplers and analysers, all seismically qualified, built to nuclear standards and delivered on schedule.
This project demonstrates our ability to deliver proven, safety-critical systems for the UK's most important new nuclear facility.

Nuclear Safety Critical Gas Measurement Systems for Hinkley Point C
Executive Summary At Hinkley Point C (HPC), EDF required robust gas measurement and effluent monitoring systems to meet stringent safety,…
Remote CO₂ Isolation Valve Upgrade At Hinkley Point B
EDF Energy – Hinkley Point B
This project involved the design of a modification to a manual valve to provide automatic operation of the valve to overcome the potential local hazards which could prevent isolation of the system if a seismic event were to occur.
The existing RAETP (Radioactive Active Effluent Treatment Plant) alarm panel showed signs of ageing and needed replacing with a new alarm panel with the same functionality and maximum size.
AMS evaluated the proposed EDF concept design and expanded the concept whilst working closely with the site engineers to ensure the system was fit for purpose and compatible with existing infrastructure.
AMS’ scope was to utilise the existing controls and indications within the CCR whilst providing an interface which allows the controls and indication to operate with either the old or new plant
