What you’ll be doing
The Project Coordinator sits within the Projects Department managing small projects and supporting the Project Manager on larger projects AMS is contracted to deliver.
MAIN DUTIES/RESPSONSIBILITIES:
Project management
- Building project plans for new projects (small/medium sized)
- Keeping project plans up-to-date by liaising with Engineering, Workshop and Supply Chain personnel for progress updates
- Liaising with the project stakeholders, ensuring they are suitably informed and involved during all stages of the project
- Maintaining a project risk register
- Representing AMS in project meetings with clients
Reporting
- Generating project status summaries for Management
- Generating monthly project accruals
- Reporting progress on projects both internally and externally
Bid support
- Generation of project milestone payment plans
- Generation of high-level project plans
Project administration
- Complete all project administration, e.g., GCs, RFIs, time booking calculations.
- Expediting payment certificates from clients
- Sending accruals and payment requests to customers
- Keeping invoicing database and Order Book spreadsheets up-to-date
- Assisting with project financial forecasting
- Ensure all work is compliant with our ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001 standards
- Comply with all relevant Health & Safety legislation and guidance
RELATIONSHIPS:
Accountable to: Senior Project Manager
Key resource available to Post: Administration Support
PHYSICAL CONDITIONS:
Workplace: 1604-1605 Carnival Way, North Petherton, Bridgwater, TA6 6GY or at any other location of the Company’s direction including various customer and supplier sites.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Working pattern: Optional 4- or 5-day working week. Same hours worked per week but spread over either Monday -Thursday or Monday to Friday.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who is early in their project delivery career but ready to step into a role where they can take ownership, contribute meaningfully, and grow.
You’ll likely have a relevant HNC, HND, or degree, and bring a mix of communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset. You’ll need to be comfortable liaising with internal teams and clients, managing multiple moving parts, and keeping things organised and on track.
