Cold Eye Review – Level Control System
Type: | Control & Instrumentation |
Scope of Supply: | SITE WALKDOWN ¦ FINDINGS REPORT |
Client: | EDF Energy – Hartlepool |
Key Deliverables: | Findings & Recommendations Report |
Project Overview
AMS was asked to provide a cold eye review of the TG2 Turbine Extract Condenser (TEC) Level controller system that had proven problematic following an upgrade that had seen it change from a Fisher Leveltrol pneumatic control system to an electronic control system consisting of two Vega GWR level probes feeding into two Moore controllers. Upon completion of a site walkdown, AMS produced and submitted a technical design note to EDF Energy. As a direct consequence of AMS recommendations, the customer modified the installation and control system.
Why AMS?
AMS were asked to undertake this due to an understanding and experience of the system in question. AMS were straightforward to deal with through their existing EDF framework contract. AMS also has access to EDF IT Systems, making information transfer and communication very easy. EDF Fleet Critical in Barnwood have a good understanding of AMS Capabilities and Experience and confidence in AMS abilities.
